I left San Angelo in 1976 and moved to Austin, Texas. Been here since then. I was employed by the Travis County Adult Probation Department from 1976 to 1979. In 1980 I went to work for the Third Court of Appeals as a legal secretary working for the Judges on the Court. I stayed there until August of 2000, after 20 years! I started working in September of 2000 for the law firm of Clark, Thomas & Winters, as a legal secretary for two attorneys. I am engaged to a wonderful man, Larry W. Richardson. He is a Senior Patrol Officer for the City of Austin. We go two-stepping (dancing) almost every week--usually at the Broken Spoke or at the Cotton Club in Granger, Texas. We enjoy going to the Texas coast, especially Port Aransas, taking our boat out to Lake Austin and Lake Travis, and antique shopping at small towns like Bandera, Johnson City, Blanco and anything around the Hill Country. My two children are now 24 and 29. My son is a mechanical engineer for H.B. Zachary and lives in San Antonio. My daughter lives in Austin and works for Zerox in the accounting department. Larry and I married on December 2, 2002. We had a marvelous two-week honeymoon in New Mexico. Of course we had to stop in San Angelo on our way back from our trip and do some shopping and of course had to go eat at Zentner's Steakhouse. It's always fun to come back to your hometown. |

Lord, so much has happen since high school. I got married when I was a senior and didn't have to. That union lasted 28 years and produced three beautiful children. My oldest Tony is a doctor at MD Anderson. My daughter Sandy is a youth minister in Plano. My youngest son, David, just graduated from college and is a banker. Now they can take care of, pray for and handle my money or I will move in with them someday. I have two beautiful grandchildren and one on the way. I understand now the old saying why God gives babies to younger women. I love them but enjoy sending them home. I graduated from ASU with my AD and BSN degree in nursing. I am an RN in McAllen, Texas working in the ER, and ICU. I worked and help form the Hospice program in San Angelo for eight years then moved down south. I am divorced and just bought me a home with a pool that I enjoy everyday. I just enjoy life and try not to get so serious. I take a cruise every year to see the beautiful things god has given us to enjoy. I haven't missed any reunions and hope to see everyone at the 40th. |

Hi everybody! After that great year at Central, I went back home to France, and I became a teacher in 1977 and I've been teaching (English, what else?) ever since. I got married in 76, and came back to the US for a visit in the summer of 1980; got to see a few old friends, as well as my San Angelo family, which was great. Then in 1981 Alice was born, and Claire in '84. By then we had been living and teaching (husband was a math teacher) in Dieppe, on the north-west coast of France, just opposite England. After some time our marriage deteriorated (nothing highly original, I guess) and ended around 1995. My daughters are great, Alice is completing her university studies after spending a year in Spain, and is currently doing an internship at a Spanish cultural center in the south of France. Claire is studying in an art school, and dreams of making animated films some days. I was so thrilled to discover this site, I can't believe it was there all these years! |

My name is now Beverly Currington. I married David Currington (from Sterling City) in San Angelo, TX in 1973. We made our home in Austin, Texas where I raised our family of two boys -- Russell Erik Currington and Dayne Scot Currington. My family relocated to California in 1989 when the Austin economy was at its lowest. I live in Canyon Lake, California -- a city that has been nicknamed "A Little Bit of Paradise," and it really is. I work for CB Richard Ellis in the National Retail Services Division, in Ontario, California. We are a commercial real estate brokerage firm and I oversee the industry events pertaining to Retail. |

After graduation, I married my school sweetheart, but lost him in Viet Nam. He came back as someone else. I had 4 daughters that have made my life very interesting, not a dull moment. I worked in San Angelo for various businesses, since I was a Kelly Girl for many years. That was something to be proud of then. My most fascinating job there is when I worked for the City as an employee at Fort Concho Museum. I moved to San Antonio, TX in 1986, after my divorce. I went to Insurance Business School and obtained my License to sell Insurance. I opened a State Farm insurance Agency with an Agent. We were very successful. After the birth of my first grandchild I changed insurance companies and opened a new agency with an Allstate Agent. We were also very successful. The agent became a Millionaire within two years. We were the #1 agency in the Dallas, Houston, San Antonio Region. I won numerous awards and the agency won many trips. My two oldest daughters joined me in the office and nothing could stop us then. My oldest daughter got married and moved to Irving Tx and took my granddaughter with her. Of course that broke my heart, and after 2 years I moved to Irving, where I resided there and opened a brand new insurance agency with my supervisor from my first job there in Irving. We were also very successful. I then met my fiancee and he introduced me to the world of CPA and auditors. The money was good so I went to work for him with Kpmg Global Co. This past October, we decided that we had had enough of the rat race. I retired in October and he retired in December. We have moved to Panama City Beach Fl and have purchased a home. The sun and beaches are beautiful. If any of my classmates happen to pass by here, send me an e-mail at my new e-mail address. . We plan to travel to Spain later part of this year and have plans to travel though out this beautiful land of ours and other trips to Europe and the Orient in the future. I have very fond memories of Central and the many friends that are deceased and everyone else. May God bless all of you. Go Bobcats!!! Josie E Gomez |

After graduating from Central, went to Abilene Christian College. Graduated in '74 with a degree in Speech Pathology and went to work in Ft. Worth, then Colorado. Spent 6 years working, traveling and having fun. Met and married a wonderful Colorado guy in 1980 and, in a blink of an eye, we are now celebrating 25 years of marriage! Paul has a day job as an engineer, but his passion is his gospel bluegrass band. Check it out at www.highatmosphere.com. We have two great kids, Matt is a freshman at ACU and Melissa is a junior in high school. I keep busy as a speech pathologist for our local school district in Colorado Springs. The years have been a rollercoaster of great times and not so great times....but I've been blessed with a loving husband and a God whose love and guideance helps us through whatever life throws at us. |

I left San Angelo after graduating to attend Texas Tech. Received by BS in Engineering in 1974. I met my wife, Kathy, at Tech and we were married in 1974 just before graduating. Kathy was a Physical Therapist for over 20 years and is now very happily retired. My first job was with Foster Wheeler Corp. and they sent us to Houston. We were only supposed to be here for a couple of years but it's been 31+ now. We have two kids. Our son Chris graduated from UT with a degree in Computer Science and is now in Tokyo, Japan working for Lehman Brothers. Our daughter Linsey went off to college in Colorado and is now an elementary school teacher in Denver. My working career has all been related to the oil and gas industry. I spent 20 years with two operating companies including the terrible 80's. I moved over to the engineering and construction contracting side of the business 10 years ago where I am a Project Manager for industrial projects. I still have some family in San Angelo and get out there occasionally. God has blessed me with a loving wife, great family, and continuous work. |

Attended ASU for two yAttended ASU for two years, more or less and was fortunate enough to sufficiently maintain the grades to keep Uncle Sam at bay. Transferred to UT-Austin where I managed to bluff my way through the Communications School and obtain a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film. Immediately upon graduation in December '74 I hit Dallas, San Antonio and Houston certain that I was just what the television stations there were waiting for. So, in February '75 I went to work for KLST (then, KCTV) where I remained until June, 2004 when Nexstar Broadcasting purchased KLST. I'm now the manager of Jim Bass Ford's rental car division. Believe it or not this mighty old oak fell on September 2, 2006 when I married my longtime sweetheart, companion and best friend, Sandy. Her son, Joseph graduated from UT and is now working in the University of Oregon's financial aid department while her daughter Sheena has graduated from Rice Univeristy. Life's been good, so far. |

Went to Howard Payne for three semesters. Quit school, got married in July 1972. Started my career with GTE/Verizon in June 1972. In 1976 we (Carla & I) were blessed with the birth of our daughter (Courtney) in Jan 1976, then in June 1981 we were blessed again with the birth of our son (Brad). Our daughter graduated from UT Austin in Dec. 1998 and our son is currently trying to walk-on at Southwest Texas University as a quarterback. Carla and I lived in San Angelo from July of '72 until August of 1986. We now live in Grapevine. Carla is a school teacher with Coppell ISD. And I still work for GTE/Verizon now for over 28 years. That pretty well sums up what I (we) have been up to. |

I am currently living in Baltimore, and wondering about a few of the people I remember from school days in San Angelo (only my junior and senior year) and U of T Austin (graduated 1975): Shane Alexander? John Leggett? Ramsey Koschak? Ernie Mayer? I have had some correspondance with Buck Hendrix and his family in the last 10 years, but no other significant news from the West Texas days. And I have not lived in Texas since 1977. Twelve years in California, now sixteen in Baltimore. I was not able to make the 2000 reunion, but may try for the next big one. Any news or contact info for the names listed above would be appreciated; or anyone else out there who remembers my name, feel free to contact me. Thanks. |

What a wonderful life since those high school days. Two beautiful and energetic children - Lindsay my oldest and Dustin. I am very proud of both of them and look forward to watching them explore those years after high school. I have been blessed with a fantastic career in education even though I tried very hard during college to do anything but "teach." I started my teaching career in Sundown, if any of you have ever heard of it. During that time, I began to realize why I was in education. I had the opportunity, while a very young teacher, to work with administrators and superintendents. One opportunity involved working with a wonderful faculty to initiate some very innovative methods that led ultimately in the direction I have spent the last years pursuing and developing. Being hired as the youngest central office administrator, I've had the pleasure of working with coordinating the program services PK-12 for gifted/talented students. A job of this sort, especially today, is one that provides a new challenge every hour of everyday. It's exciting to work with and for these students and teachers. Striving to provide programs that will ultimately develop the potential of each student. Life has included it's ups and downs for all of us but it's wonderful to look back now and see the road we started in high school and where we are today. I wish the best for all of you from Central and especially to my own two wonderful children. |

After my fall semester as a junior at ASU, I married and moved to the opposite end of Texas to Lake Jackson where I enrolled at the University of Houston and continued my plan to become a high school English teacher. Somehow, I got an overwhelming desire to be in law enforcement, changed my major to Criminal Justice and started over. I graduated from U of H in 77 with a Criminal Justice degree and was a police officer for 12 years in Brazoria and Midland Counties; spent 10 years thereafter, conducting police and probation training at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies at Southwest Texas State University and then accepted my current position as a fraud investigator with Texas Mutual Insurance where we handle criminal investigations of workers comp fraud. Life has dealt some real blows, but the blessings have always been exceptional. I missed our first class reunion as I was 9 months pregnant with my twins and 400 miles away; seems like I felt I had lost touch after that. My children D.W. and Karen have been the blessings of my life, and Karen and her husband have given me my first grandchild this year, an adorable little girl named Callie. I have now attained the one last desire I had, living in the country, with a small 15 acre farm with home and barns and plans for some livestock in the near future. I hope not to miss another reunion if given the opportunity. |

One thing is for sure, I could never have guessed what my life would be once I graduated. Every time I thought I had a plan, it changed. I was planning to go to Texas A&M. But, National Merit did me a bum deal and I turned them down and went to ASU. I had a great time and got lots of general stuff out of the way. I then transferred to A&M and majored in Electrical Engineering and extracurricular activities (I discovered girls). I planned to build computer/machine interfaces. But, a secretary mis-filed my card and I ended up as a Petroleum Engineer with Exxon in Midland. That set in motion a really weird path for me. During the next five years my life included underwater photography, skiing the Rockies, getting married to Inez, having two daughters, inventing a new drilling system, getting a patent, and changing companies to one called Union Texas. The next eight years are a blur but they included writing a new oilfield data system, Inez and I continuing to dive, raising two beautiful little girls, doing a merger, going through a buy out, doing an IPO, transferring to international operations, and finally moving my little family to the city of Karachi, Pakistan We lived in Pakistan for an eternity during the next three years! It included my group growing from four people to over 600, three evacuations of the family, one change of government by assassination, parties at the US consul general's, meeting and working and partying with 18 different nationalities. It was fun watching my daughters' birthday parties be attended by kids from every country in the world (including the communist ones). Inez continued to play piano professionally until a fall broke her wrist. She took up art. Finally, when the Gulf war broke out, we evacuated everyone to London. I opened the office there and we lived there for a year. We moved back to Katy, Texas in 1991 and over the next seven years proceeded into the education process. That meant readapting to our culture, dealing with Public Schools, tons of Inez's time in volunteer work and arty things, Band, Band Boosters, summer camps, boys, and lots and lots of kids and kid parties. All the while I was still working internationally developing Health, Safety, and Environmental programs. We felt settled and bought a bunch of acreage near west Houston. In 1998 CarrieLee (the eldest daughter), on a lark, decided to walk on at an SMU theater audition. She was selected as one of 14 that year to become a freshman in theater there. Meanwhile the rest of us planned to move to Jakarta, Indonesia. There is that ugly word "planned" again. While we were over there Suharto was deposed and almost simultaneously my company was bought by ARCO. We came back and after flying for 36 hours my youngest daughter (Kim) went in to the Univ. of North Texas and passed the test to enroll as a freshman while she was still a junior in high school. She was accepted to the Texas Academy of Math & Science program at UNT. How about that, I lost my job, took on a new mortgage, and both daughters enroll in college -- all at the same time. Well, I was six months too young for the "package" at work so I went out on my own. I have been an independent consultant ever since. After two years Kim transferred to A&M. Inez made a 180-degree shift and moved out of music and art. She now does computer and tech work at a local veterinarian. Both daughters graduate in 2002. So dear friends, through divine intervention I have been blessed with a most interesting and exciting AND scary life. Most importantly, I have a wonderful wife, and two great and beautiful daughters. Along the way I have been on six of the seven continents, designed and supervised replanting in the rainforests of Indonesia, and stood in a Soviet built nuclear reactor. I have swum in the Caspian, stood over the Indus, dove under coral reefs, fished the upper Kenai, and snorkeled in the Maldives. I have eaten chicken in the Himalayas, lost friends to terrorists, been a guest in the UK House of Lords, drunk tea with peasants in the desert, eaten sushi in a Tokyo penthouse club, and lived to see my thirty year reunion from Central. God has truly blessed this 'ole pig farmer from San Angelo - I have friends all over the world and some of the dearest are still the ones from San Angelo. I pray each of you have all the blessings you can stand! |

Did some work as a mechanic for Mustang Chevrolet. Won the lottery, unfortunately it was the draft lottery... went into the Air Force to do radio repair work. Married Kathy Feb. 5, 1973. We went to Athens, Greece in '75 when Kathy was pregnant. It was a real treat to have a baby (Christie) in a foreign hospital where no one spoke English! Got out of the AF and went to ASU in September of '77. Had our first son (Joseph) in '79 and both of us graduated in 80. Went to work for TI in Dallas, transferring to Austin in '83. Had our other son (Travis) when I was visiting Kathy in Dallas for July 4th (we had not completed the move to Austin). Lucky break on that one... Went to work for IBM and spent 2 years in Rome and 1 year in London. Would love to go back overseas again! I enjoy water skiing, scuba diving, snow skiing, etc. I still play around with vehicles, I have a '54 Chevy truck (which is taking too long to restore and Kathy is threatening to put a "For Free" sign on it) and I am working on an '80 Harley Sportster. |
