was talking to John Hurt, and he thinks that the old coach was part of
the Battan Death March. That would make him a P.O.W. during the Pacific
War. Not too many years ago there was an article in on of the newspapers
about the coach, and his many decorations for military service, but I
didn't see the article, but was told that he was in fact a 'War
Hero'" |
